Much progress has been made in emerging Europe during the almost three decades since the fall of communism.
At present, with over 180 million citizens and positive economic indicators, the region has a strong focus on prosperity. Developing much faster than Western Europe, it is a significant growth engine of the European economy.
Emerging Europe is also one of the world’s most diverse regions in terms of language, culture and heritage.
Building on our mission of fostering economic and social growth in the CEE region, we at Emerging Europe are organising the Emerging Europe Awards, a high-profile, prestigious programme to recognise success stories, leading projects and best practice, encouraging thought leadership and excellence across 23 countries.
The awards will acknowledge local authorities and businesses which have demonstrated excellence in three main areas: raising awareness, social progress and economic development.
We treat all candidates the same, whether large or small, assessing them purely on what sets them apart from the rest.
Our juries have extensive experience across a range of sectors and are supported by a dedicated team.
The Emerging Europe Awards celebrate the outstanding efforts of those who consistently work towards the economic and social development of the region and contribute most to its growth.
The Emerging Europe Awards is taking place on the afternoon of 22 June 2018, at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s headquarters in London.
